Vegas Vacation - Part 1

I think I may have a few excuses as to why I haven't posted holiday pics yet - My MacBook is a piece, and posting a ton of pictures on a blog is a major pain in the ass. I came right back from holidays and started my nail course the very next day - and then it was back to work.
Anyway, enough of my complaining - here are some photos of the trip:
Me - winning $1.97 on the Star Wars penny slots

Our beautiful hotel room at the New York New York Hotel & Casino

The great jacuzzi in our room!

Yummy slushie drinks from Coyote Ugly - I was drunk after only a quarter of the drink

Liberace Museum - I LOVED it here!!! Vaughn & I were about 20-30 years younger than the other people on the tour

Some of Liberace's costumes

Vaughn with the talking tree at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Grand - when the tree started talking to him, his expression just froze. This is my funniest picture of the whole trip.

M&M store - Four stories of EVERYTHING M&Ms - however, I couldn't buy bulk almond M&Ms and my heart died a little

Well, this was an experience, to say the least. Not what Vaughn & I expected, but it certainly was entertaining

Me, with a Klingon at the Star Trek Experience in the Hilton. ahahah And to think, I don't even like Star Trek. I'm serious. However, this was one of the greatest parts of our trip.

Me, with a Borg & a Klingon. AHAHAH

Elvis statue outside the Hilton. God Bless Elvis, that's all I have to say - I have to get to Graceland.

Emeril's!!! Hands down, I had the best meal of my life here - My next post will be a complete food blog. I took pictures of everything I ate.

Excalibur Hotel - so pretty at night

One of the many Criss Angel bikes on display at the Luxor

Luxor

Outside our hotel

Our hotel again

Vaughn & I on the Grand Staircase at the Titanic Exhibit in the Tropicana Hotel (what a hole) - this picture didn't turn out so great because we weren't allowed to take pictures in there, so this is a scanned pic that we had to buy.

Another 'purchased picture' of Vaughn & I at Emeril's.

The trip was absolutely fantastic - and so hot! However, I realized that I loved the heat, because there were no bugs whatsoever. I can't wait to go again.

Stay tuned for the upcoming food blog.

Have a great evening, everyone! Peace.

How did the nail classes go?

cris: Not bad, however the acrylic gave me massive migraines so I had to drop out of that part of the course. I don't take my final exam until October, so I guess we'll see how it goes.

Wow, Vegas! One of my favorite places. There is always something to do. I love staying in great hotels. I've learned through my many travels that where you stay really affect the whole tone of your trip. I work for Hampton Inn so I've gotten used to the best, :-D You should really come and stay with us next time you travel. You won't be disappointed.

Hampton Inn is offering 10% of their best rate available until 9/1/08 we’re also giving away some great prizes leading up to the TEAM USA competing at the Olympic Games. Good Luck!!

Liberace museum?! Now I HAVE to go to Vegas!
Peter really wants to go there sometime. I'm not a gambler, but it does look like there's a lot of cool stuff there.

dh: I'm not a gambler either (aside from the 40 bucks I allotted myself for the penny slots), but it's such a fun place. You'd have such a good time. Adam says that's where he wants to go for a grad present next year, so I'm pretty pumped to go again.

Man! It looks like you had fun. I'd like to plan a trip there one of these years. Maybe in 2 years for my 40th birthday...but I was leaning toward Egypt or France. I'm glad you had fun.

Oh my goodness! Great pics! Looks like you guys had a blast. Wasn't the Star Trek Experience freaky?! I wanted to HIDE behind The Boy! A Liberace museum? Now those have got to be some interesting costumes that only he could get away with wearing. Glad you're back in blogland. :o)
